Lexington Furniture
Lexington Furniture Company began in 1960, as Lexington Wholesale Furniture. The business was located in the heart of downtown Lexington, Kentucky and occupied 40,000 square feet, on land that is now the site of Rupp Arena and Heritage Hall.
In 1995, Lexington Furniture expanded its business nationwide, by advertising in several major magazines. Consumers could now order factory-direct and have their furniture delivered in their home anywhere in the United States. Again, the same philosophy, which had guided the business thus far, still applied: good value, great prices and excellent service. At the same time, Lexington Furniture Company was one of the first to make its presence on the World Wide Web, thereby expanding it's sales internationally.
